The journey is more beautiful than the destination ❤
#DilSeDilKiBaat
Many people mistakenly think that fitness is a destination. They begin their fitness journey with a lot of enthusiasm and set a goal to achieve within a specific time frame, like losing 10 kg in a month. But if they don’t reach their goal or face any obstacles along the way, they get discouraged and quickly revert to their old habits. Sound familiar?
Fitness is a journey, not a destination—let’s explore this with a simple analogy. Imagine you’re on a trip with friends. You start your journey full of excitement, but after a while, you hear a disheartening noise—oh no, your car has a flat tire! What would you do? Take a taxi and go home? Of course not! You’d change the tire and continue your journey, right?
With the tire fixed, you’re back on the road and drive for a long stretch until you reach a tunnel, only to find the path blocked by a recent landslide. What now? Is it time to turn back and go home? Certainly not. Instead, you’d find a nearby hotel and stay until the highway crew clears the landslide. Makes sense, right?
Fitness is the same way. We start our journey with excitement until we encounter obstacles. But instead of being patient like we would on a road trip, we give up without a second thought. We all face illness or other challenges during our fitness journey, but that doesn’t mean you should quit. Instead, give yourself a break and restart when possible. Try to maintain your progress while resting, but don’t quit. Fitness is a lifestyle change that requires patience and consistency. It’s a journey, not a destination.
