Underrated benefits of Exercise

With everything going on right now, I find exercise to be more important than ever, and it has nothing to do with burning calories.

Maybe now isn’t the best time to try to lose weight or make incredible strength gains, but that doesn’t mean exercise should be completely ignored. If we put aside the obvious benefits of burning calories or building muscle, there is SO much more that exercise does for us.

𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐧𝐱𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟 ⁣

Exercise has some direct stress-busting benefits. It releases endorphins and may help bump up the production of your brain’s feel-good neurotransmitters, called endorphins⁣

𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲⁣

Exercise simply makes you functionally stronger. ⁣

• Getting up off the floor⁣

• Carrying heavy objects (like children)⁣

• Putting something up on a shelf⁣

A multitude of activities are a combination of various muscles. It only improves your overall quality of life.⁣

𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬⁣

Exercising also boosts oxygen circulation inside your body. This increase in oxygen not only supports the mitochondria’s energy production, it allows your body to function better and to use its energy more efficiently.⁣

𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡⁣

Exercise strengthens your heart and improves your circulation. The increased blood flow raises the oxygen levels in your body. This helps lower your risk of heart diseases such as high cholesterol, coronary artery disease, and heart attack. Regular exercise can also lower your blood pressure and triglyceride levels.⁣

𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐩⁣

Exercising also improves sleep for many people. Specifically, moderate-to-vigorous exercise can increase sleep quality for adults by reducing sleep onset – or the time it takes to fall asleep – and decrease the amount of time they lie awake in bed during the night. Moreover, sleep allows your body to recover from the previous day.⁣

𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞⁣

For many self-esteem issues are tied to body perception. Exercise is the most useful activity that can change our body composition and transform us into the sexy beasts we were meant to be. Who doesn’t like to look more attractive, right!!⁣
