Let us Read the story of Rashmi Lodha
As they say, ‘Where there’s a will, there’s a way’. I lost 24 kilos despite having medical issues to deal with. And yes, I didn’t lose all the weight in three months, the transformation took 20 months. From 74 kgs to 50 kgs. From having Cervical and lumbar Spondylosis, Coccydynia, regular muscle spasms, Gall bladder removed to now relieved from pain, increased stamina, energy, and confidence, and free from medicines. The picture collage itself shows how a dedicated journey can transform your complete personality. I would really love to share this with you all, especially the ones with health problems.
Being a housewife, with the responsibility of a husband, 2 children and in-laws, I completely neglected myself for a long time and had lost all hopes of becoming fit ever again. I started working as a freelancer which required continuous hours on the computer and developed severe Cervical and Lumbar Spondylosis, regular muscle spasms and coccydynia. The doctors completely advised against sitting for long hours, weight training, brisk walking, bending, or any kind of physical strain to the body.
I spent lakhs on treatments, the relief from which were only temporary. Reached 74 kgs by June 2018, frustration and depression making way into my life and this is when I realized that I had to start on shredding those kilos and gain back my confidence. With faith and courage, I started my journey towards fitness. I started gymming and noticed a slow but determined progress for about a year. I had lost around 8.5 kilos and 4 inches despite keeping my workout extremely light. There were times when I wouldn’t get results, but I never gave up and believed in myself.
Eventually, I joined Fittr and learnt the importance of quality and quantified nutrition along with strength training. I learnt that fitness is a passion and once into it, it becomes your lifestyle. I learnt that nothing is impossible with pure dedication and determination, and remember, it’s always you versus you no matter what people say.
Once started, I never stopped. Today, I lift weights which I couldn’t even imagine lifting 3 years ago. As a part of my life now, I always look forward to waking up and going to the gym, with the target of breaking my previous record. I am doing this for myself, and you should too!
