Jaanoandseekho : What is fitness ?
Nirali :Fitness to me is , more of how I feel doing my day to day activities. From a fat lady who had trouble with even getting up from a couch to get a glass of water for herself, to someone who is on her feet most of the day!
Jaanoandseekho : How has your fitness journey been till now?
Nirali :It has not been easy but has not been impossible either. I began my fitness journey in 2016 with various obstacles that came my way.
Jaanoandseekho : Can you mention a few workout tips?
Nirali : One must work out at least 4-5 times a week to maintain consistency. Watching the calorie intake has a major impact; we are what we eat remember? In case you have a cheat day, make sure to burn a bit extra the next day.
Jaanoandseekho : How important is nutrition?
Nirali : It is extremely important because as we work out, our muscles and the body as a whole requires energy. So to maintain a healthy lifestyle, proper intake of macro and micro nutrients is a must.
Jaanoandseekho :What are the lifestyle changes you made?
Nirali : I make it a point to never miss any of my workouts sessions. Even when I am travelling, I carry my resistance band with me and do some weight training workouts. I also ensure to avoid all sweet and fried food items.
Jaanoandseekho : Can you suggest one tip to lose weight quickly?
Nirali : Eat according to what your body demands; avoid junk, oily food, sugar, salt, maida and refined food
Jaanoandseekho : Lessons learnt from weight loss ?
Nirali : I have realised that consistency is the key to weight loss. As long as you are consistent, your progress is inevitable. If you want something badly, you need to find a way to achieve the same.
The scale can only give you a numerical reflection of your relationship with gravity. That’s it. It cannot measure beauty, talent, purpose, life force, possibility, strength or love. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, show up and never give up!!!
