From Arts to Fitness: Ashima Kapoor’s Inspiring Journey
Meet Ashima Kapoor, a former banker turned FITTR coach, who transformed her life by pursuing her passion for fitness. Despite her arts background, Ashima was determined to become a certified fitness coach, and her story is one of perseverance and dedication.
Hello! I’m Ashima Kapoor—a former banker, now a homemaker, and a mother. Throughout my teenage years, I struggled to maintain a lean physique, and after my pregnancy, I gained a significant amount of weight, reaching 80 kg.
In 2015, four years after having my child, I decided it was time to take control of my health. I joined a gym and quickly developed a love for resistance training, though I was still unaware of the impact that the right diet combined with training could have.
In January 2023, a friend introduced me to the Institute of Nutrition and Fitness Sciences (INFS) and FITTR while I was researching personalized nutrition and fitness online. After completing the Basic Nutrition and Fitness Course from INFS, my curiosity grew, and I wanted to dive deeper. I decided to enroll under a FITTR coach and simultaneously pursue a Diploma in Nutrition and Fitness to build a solid foundation—not just for myself, but to guide others as a fitness professional.
I meticulously planned my schedule, balancing my studies with my responsibilities by keeping a detailed to-do list. The course material was comprehensive and well-explained. The recorded lectures, study groups, and the INFS Facebook group were invaluable in helping me clear all my levels on the first try.
Over the course of my journey, I lost 25 kg and gained confidence, consistency, and resilience.
I now feel energetic and motivated to stay on track. This transformation has fueled my desire to help others achieve their fitness goals, just as I have.
I am thrilled to start this new chapter as a FITTR coach. I am grateful to have found the right platform at the right time. With my passion and newfound knowledge, I am eager to help as many people as possible transform their lives for the better.
