Today, I turn 47.
And this year, I made a very intentional decision—
To show up without filters, without touch-ups, and without trying to impress.
Because I’m not here to “look young.”
I’m here to feel strong, empowered, and completely alive.
These are not professional photos.
No makeup. No jewelry.
No perfect lighting.
Just me, in my comfort zone—being completely myself.
Why?
Because over the last few years, I’ve realized something powerful:
The most beautiful version of me isn’t the one dressed up for the camera—it’s the one I became through effort, consistency, and self-love.
There was a time when birthdays made me feel anxious.
I’d wonder:
But now, birthdays feel different.
They feel like a victory lap.
Because I’ve spent the last few years:
I’ve worked through postpartum fatigue, fluctuating hormones, joint stiffness, and days when self-doubt screamed louder than self-belief.
But here I am.
Stronger than I’ve ever been.
At 47.
Let’s talk about what fitness means to me today:
I don’t chase extremes.
I chase alignment — between what I do, what I believe, and what I want to become.
Most people think the toughest part of fitness is working out.
It’s not.
It’s working on your mindset.
When I coach clients over 40, I don’t just give them macros and workouts.
I help them rewrite their beliefs.
Because the truth is:
👉🏼 You’re not “too old.”
👉🏼 You’re not “too late.”
👉🏼 You’re not “too busy.”
👉🏼 You’re just stuck in a story that someone else wrote for you.
At 47, I’ve deleted that old script.
And I’m writing a new one—where I’m the hero, the guide, and the reason I rise every morning.
My drive.
My mission.
My love for this community.
But you know what has changed?
Because real fitness is not about never falling.
It’s about rising again—every time, a little stronger, a little wiser.
If you’re in your 40s, feeling like your best years are behind you—please read this twice:
“You are not too old. You are just getting started.”
It doesn’t matter if you’ve been sedentary for 10 years.
It doesn’t matter if the scale hasn’t moved in months.
What matters is this:
You’re still here. And you’re still in control.
Today, I’m thankful for:
✅ My family — who supported my weird meal timings, gym hours, and all the protein talk.
✅ My mentors — who taught me to trust the science and my own potential.
✅ The Fittr family — where I transformed from a learner to a guide.
✅ My clients — who remind me every day why this work matters.
✅ My past self — for not giving up when quitting felt easier.
This year, I promise to:
✨ Keep learning
✨ Keep lifting
✨ Keep leading
✨ And keep showing up for every woman who needs to see what’s possible at any age
If you’re watching from the sidelines, wondering if it’s too late—come join me.
I’ll walk with you.
Coach you.
Believe in you, even when you don’t believe in yourself.
Because that’s what this journey is about.
Fitness is not about turning back the clock.
It’s about using your time intentionally, powerfully, and joyfully — no matter your age.
And as I blow out my 47 candles today, I don’t make a wish.
I make a promise:
“To keep rising. Keep moving. Keep evolving.”
Because this is more than a birthday.
It’s a beautiful reminder — that we are all works in progress, and that’s something worth celebrating every day.
